Communication Agency (Agecom)

The UFSC Communication Agency (Agecom) was created in 1992 with the task of executing and implementing the Public Communication Policy in force at the University.

Agecom produces content to be used in various institutional materials. Among its responsibilities are producing news on the UFSC portal and serving the media.

Following UFSC’s Public Communication Policy, by publicizing the institutional production represented by the work of its faculty, staff, researchers, students and managers, Agecom projects and strengthens the image, concept and identity of a public, free and quality university.

In its commitment to communicate and disseminate, UFSC adopts a philosophy of public communication that respects the Codes of Professional Ethics and of Civil Servants, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Constitution and the rules of journalism, promoting an effective integration between the university, the media and society, and maintaining a permanent channel of dialogue and interaction with its audiences.
